Claire at the Still Center - 2012

Part of the “Lemur Mourning Series,” this painting was inspired by Victorian mourning piece
s memorializing the deceased with a lock of his/her hair. This Collared lemur is calm and
beautiful surrounded by a hopeful future.

NOTE: Hair used in these art pieces was opportunistically saved (or collected) during
routine annual physicals.
